Unique features: Synthetic leather and closed mesh upper, Flextra rubber outsole, heel offset of 12 mm, and its midsole have a molded EVA foam (with triple-density compression).

This shoe gives me an effortless landing experience and equally felt no popping while I lift off my foot. Further, the 12mm heel offset provides you with the right amount of cushioning while you’re running or walking.

The shoe’s Segmented Crash Pad is also designed to be full-length and thus encourages adaptive landing – which is excellent both for athletes who land on their ball or those who heel strike.

One more thing I love about this GEL-Venture 5 is that it’s great for hiking – because definitely, it’s a trail-running shoe. When wearing the pair, I feel pretty comfortable and stable.

This shoe has great traction and reliable midsole that you’ll find highly useful even with tight turns. This is mainly because it also has a rubber sole and deep grooves. 

It’s also a great running shoe if you’ll be trail running your City. The rearfoot gel allows the shoe to attenuate shock on impact and provides some smoother transition for the mid-stance.

Asics GEL-Venture 5 comes with a removable sock liner that you can easily remove and thus create some space to put other orthotic devices.

Next up is this Saucony Cohesion 10, which is a budget-friendly athletic shoe. This mid-level athletic footwear is greatly built and has a solid construction to allow you to stand all day.

Its IMEVA midsole is Injection molded and thus will give you top comfort with a suitable springing action when you’re standing all day.

Overall, this Saucony Cohesion 10 is a great shoe for recreational running or gym workouts but would not work great for long-distance running. 

However, I felt that the outsole is made from an unsuitable rubber compound, which makes it difficult to wear when hard. The heel area is cored out and has excellent flex grooves to protect your foot upon impact.

Standing all day with shoes having poor cushioning may harm your knees and probably even cause plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendonitis. 

The GEL cushioning system allows the running shoe to be great for even the rugged terrains. It’ll go well with your natural pronation. With 1.25 inches of sole width, the show will easily accommodate both light and heavy running.


I would say that it’s great for both multi-sport gym athletes and recreational running. You’ll also love the reflective and stylish colors.
